This is Joe and Steven.  They both want to be adopted into God's family and live in heaven with God forever.

Joe		Steven

As you can see Joe does a LOT of good things.  He is kind to others and usually obeys his parents. However, like everyone, he sins sometimes.

Now Steven is a little different than Joe.  He often doesn't obey and can be mean to other kids.  He does good things sometimes but you can see that he does things that are wrong quite a bit.

CHECK THIS OUT!  Even though Joe has done a lot more good things that Steven, you can see that BOTH Joe AND Steven are separated from God by their sin and the Bible says that there is nothing that either one of them can do ON THEIR OWN to get to God.  So…if that’s true, then how can they (or any of us) be adopted by God?
